Cause:

Vehicles with GM 4T40-E and 4T45-E transmissions often have torque converter control valve apply and release problems and torque converter overheat issues. This is caused by TCC control valve bore wear and the TCC valve sticking. Sonnax TCC control valve sleeve 33000-03 restores proper clearances and allows the reuse of the OE valve in a wear-resistant sleeve.

  • Sleeve eliminates sticking of the control valve in the apply and release positions
  • Reaming the bore and installing Sonnax sleeve restores worn OE control valve bore

Tool kit F-33000-TL, required for installation of this part, is no longer in production. Tool kit may still be available for purchase out of distributor stock. Check with your distributor for availability.
